Today's Positive Thoughts come from a wide range of people, and are on many different subjects. The general theme I'd say is our thoughts make us who we are and determine what we get out of life. Sometimes it's hard to see this when we are in a bad place, but it's important to remember that we can't always control what life gives us, we CAN control how we respond to what we get. From there, we can often turn life around, and find a more positive direction.
I wish you all peace and love and happiness this day and always.

The Invitation
Oriah Mountain Dreamer, Indian Elder, May 1994
It doesn't interest me what you do for a living.
I want to know what you ache for, and if you dare to dream of meeting your heart’s longing.
It doesn't interest me how old you are.
I want to know if you will risk looking like a fool for love, for your dreams, for the adventure
of being alive.
It doesn't interest me what planets are squaring your moon.
I want to know if you have touched the centre of your own sorrow, if you have been opened
by life's betrayals or have become shrivelled and closed from fear of further pain.
I want to know if you can sit with pain, mine or your own without moving to hide it, or fade
it, or fix it.
I want to know if you can be with joy, mine or your own; if you can dance with wildness and
let the ecstasy fill you to the tips of your fingers and toes without cautioning us to be careful,
be realistic, or to remember the limitations of being human.
It doesn't interest me if the story you are telling me is true.
I want to know if you can disappoint another to be true to yourself, if you can bear the
accusation of betrayal and not betray your own soul.
I want to know if you can be faithful and therefore trustworthy.
I want to know if you can see beauty, even when it is not pretty every day, and if you can
source your life from its presence.
I want to know if you can live with failure, yours or mine, and still stand on the edge of a lake
and shout to the silver of the full moon, "Yes!"
It doesn't interest me to know where you live or how much money you have.
I want to know if you can get up after the night of grief and despair, weary and bruised to the
bone, and do what needs to be done for the children.
It doesn't interest me who you are, or how you came to be here.
I want to know if you will stand in the centre of the fire with me and not shrink back.
It doesn't interest me where or what or with whom you have studied.
I want to know what sustains you from the inside when all else falls away. I want to know if
you can be alone with yourself, and if you truly like the company you keep in the empty
moments...

Humor is positive too.....
Hi!
Today I am going to focus on positive thoughts that are positive because they are funny,

I think humor is definitely one of the things that has kept me going when the going got toughest.

A little bit of Jung.....
.My positive thoughts for today are from Carl Jung who was just an amazing human being. There is much wisdom in his words and overall I definitely consider him to be an optimist, despite his knowledge of mankind, lol. As for me, I'm plugging away at my life, got some stuff done, hopefully made some progress, and now.....I'm gonna go to bed and dream sweet dreams.
“Your vision will become clear only when you look into your heart. Who looks outside, dreams. Who looks inside, awakens.”
“There are as many nights as days, and the one is just as long as the other in the year's course. Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word 'happy' would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness.”
“It all depends on how we look at things, and not on how they are themselves”
“Show me a sane man and I will cure him for you.”
“To be normal is the ideal aim of the unsuccessful.”
All above quotes by:
Carl Gustav Jung

My first post!
As my first post I want to share with you something I recently found that had a profound affect on me. I am no stranger to spirituality, I have studied other cultures and religions since I was a child. Reading this, while the concepts aren't new, reminded me of what I can do to change my life. EVERYTHING. Hope this touches you as well.
All the powers in the universe are already ours.
It is we who have put our hands before our eyes
and cry that it is dark
We are what our thoughts have made us;
so take care what you think.
Words are secondary.
Thoughts live; they travel far.
When an idea exclusively occupies the mind;
it is transformed into an actual physical or mental state.
We reap what we sow.
We are the makers of our own fate.
None else has the blame, none has the praise.
There is no help for you outside of yourself;
you are the creator of the universe.
Like the silkworm,
you have built a cocoon around yourself.
Burst your own cocoon
and come out as the beautiful butterfly,
as the free soul.
Then you will see the truth.
In one word, this ideal is that you are divine.
God sits in the temple of every human body.
-Swami Vivekananda 1863-1902
